Systems Overview
The Learjet 31/31A is powered by two Garrett TFE731-2-3B engines, each producing 3,500 lb of static thrust at sea level. Total fuel in each wing tank is 1,400 lb. Usable fuel in the fuselage tank is 1,300 lb (standard) or 1,800 lb (extended range). Electrical power is supplied by two engine-driven generators rated 30 VDC and 400 amps (regulated to 28 V). Ice and rain protection is provided by bleed air anti-icing and electric heating elements (horizontal stabilizer). Cabin pressurization maintains 9.2 psid, which results in a 8,000-foot cabin altitude when cruising at 51,000 ft. The hydraulic system is a 1,500 psi system that powers the landing gear, flaps, speedbrakes and thrust reversers.
